The cheapest Instagram automation tools, by real monthly cost
Sticker prices hide the real cost. Most tools charge by something that grows with your audience: DMs sent per month, active contacts, or the number of accounts. So the useful question is not "what is the cheapest plan?" but "what will I pay when 10,000 people comment this month?"
We worked out the cheapest published plan for each tool at three volumes, assuming one DM per commenter. If you use a follow gate or a follow-up message, each commenter may need two or three DMs, which pushes DM-capped plans up faster.

Our top pick
Best for: Cost that does not grow with commenters
Tadlo AI's free plan has unlimited DMs and automations for one Instagram account, so it covers 1,000, 10,000 and 50,000 commenters a month at no cost. Sends are paced within Instagram's limits rather than capped by the month.
You pay only when you want something the free plan does not include: removing the "via Tadlo" line, full lead export, branching flows or more AI reel credits. The Creator plan that adds those is ₹249 a month in India or $5 elsewhere, and it is still unlimited.

InstantDM's Legend Pro plan is $9.99 a month billed yearly with unlimited DMs, capped at 800 an hour. That covers all three volumes for one account. Below 500 DMs a month the free plan is enough.
Price: Free forever: 1 account and 500 DM automations a month, no card. Billed yearly: Legend Pro $9.99 a month (unlimited, up to 800 an hour), Trendsetter $24.99 (up to 2,000 an hour) and Trendsetter Pro $49.99 (no hourly cap). Multi-account plans: Multi Starter $4.44 per account a month (3 accounts, $160 a year) and Multi Pro $8.25 per account a month (10 accounts, $990 a year). Paid plans have a 7-day trial.

ReplyKaro's paid plans start at ₹99 / $3 a month, and its free plan covers 1,000 DMs, so the first volume tier costs nothing. We did not find DM limits for its paid plans in the published pricing, so check the plan you need before a big campaign.
Price: Free Starter: 1 Instagram account, 3 active automations and 1,000 DMs a month, no card and no expiry. Paid Instagram plans: Starter ₹99 / $3, Pro ₹299 / $9, Scale ₹399 / $15, Growth ₹449 / $15, Agency ₹799 / $25 and Agency Pro ₹999 / $29 a month. LinkDM covers 1,000 DMs a month free, 25,000 on Pro at $19 a month and 300,000 on Platinum+ at $99 a month. Its cost steps up at fixed points, which is easy to budget.
Price: Free: 1 Instagram account and 1,000 DMs a month with LinkDM branding. Pro: $19 a month ($182 a year), up to 3 accounts and 25,000 DMs a month. Platinum+: $99 a month ($832 a year), up to 10 accounts and 300,000 DMs a month. Enterprise is custom.

ManyChat counts people rather than DMs: every commenter you message is an active contact that month. Each plan includes a set number of contacts and then charges per extra contact, so 50,000 commenters goes past the 25,000 that Advanced includes. Essential, at $17 a month, includes 250 contacts.
How to keep the bill low
Start on a free plan with no volume ceiling, so a reel that takes off does not force an upgrade mid-campaign. Pay only when you need a feature, not because a counter ran out. And keep each DM useful, because a message that answers the question in one go saves you a follow-up send.

Do I pay more if I use a follow gate?
On tools that cap DMs per month, yes, because a gate usually sends two messages per person. On Tadlo AI it makes no difference, since DMs are unlimited.
