WhatsApp API providers with no markup on Meta's charges

By WordBite Editorial. Updated 16 October 2026.

Every provider pays Meta the same rate for the same message. A markup is anything a provider charges on top, per message. It is often hidden in a wallet: you top up credits, and each message deducts Meta's rate plus a percentage.

We sorted providers by what they publish. Where a provider publishes its own per-message rates, we calculated the markup against Meta's India rates of ₹0.8631 for marketing and ₹0.115 for utility.

1. Tadlo AI

Our top pick

Best for: No markup, with commerce automations

Tadlo AI adds no markup and no commission on sales. Meta bills message charges to your own WhatsApp Business Account, created inside your Meta business account during onboarding, and Tadlo charges a flat plan priced on unique contacts reached.

So your message bill is exactly Meta's rate card. On a month with 10,000 marketing and 20,000 utility messages to Indian numbers, that is about ₹10,931; a tool with a 15% markup would add about ₹1,640 a month on top. Unlike most no-markup options, Tadlo also includes D2C automations from Growth: abandoned cart recovery, COD to prepaid and order updates from Shopify and WooCommerce.

Price: Free forever plan with up to 10 messages a day. Starter ₹999, Growth ₹2,499, Pro ₹5,999 and Scale ₹11,999 a month, priced on unique contacts engaged per month. Meta's message charges are billed by Meta directly to your own account, and Tadlo adds no markup. Prices exclude GST.

Strengths

  • No markup on Meta's message charges: Meta bills your own WhatsApp Business Account directly, and Tadlo only charges a flat plan
  • Built for D2C: abandoned cart recovery, COD to prepaid nudges and order updates from Shopify and WooCommerce (Growth plan and above)
  • Instagram comments to WhatsApp chats, which most WhatsApp-only tools cannot do
  • Priced on unique people reached, not on every message, so you can follow up without counting sends
  • Number health checks every 15 minutes, gradual ramp-up for new numbers and automatic opt-out handling
  • Your WhatsApp Business Account is created inside your own Meta business account, so it stays yours

Limitations

  • Newer than AiSensy, WATI or Interakt, with a shorter track record
  • Commerce automations start on the Growth plan (₹2,499 a month)
  • Tadlo AI is onboarding brands in stages, and you request access on its WhatsApp page.

2. WANotifier

Best for: 0% markup for marketing broadcasts

WANotifier states "0% markup on WhatsApp API charges" and that you pay Meta's actual rates. It is marketing-focused, with a 7-day trial since its free plan closed to new users.

Price: Essentials, Advanced and Premium subscription plans, with Meta's message fees passed through at 0% markup. WANotifier stopped offering its free plan to new users on 27 October 2025 and now has a 7-day free trial.

Strengths

  • 0% markup stated
  • Marketing focus

Limitations

  • No free plan for new users
  • Lighter on commerce automation

3. Interakt

Best for: No markup on Enterprise

Interakt's Enterprise plan has "No Markup Charges". Below it, Interakt charges its own rates: calculated from them, marketing messages cost about 12.4% (Starter), 11.0% (Growth) and 10.0% (Advanced) more than Meta's India rate.

Price: WhatsApp plans: Growth ₹2,799 and Advanced ₹3,799 a month plus taxes; Enterprise on request with no markup. The ₹999 Starter plan covers Instagram only. Interakt charges its own per-message rates, which sit above Meta's: marketing ₹0.970 / ₹0.958 / ₹0.949 and utility ₹0.160 / ₹0.150 / ₹0.140 on Starter, Growth and Advanced. 14-day free trial.

Strengths

  • Enterprise plan without markup
  • Shopify on every WhatsApp plan

Limitations

  • Markup on Starter, Growth and Advanced
  • Enterprise pricing on request

4. Gupshup

Best for: A small fixed fee instead of a percentage

Gupshup bills Meta's fees at actuals and adds a fixed $0.001 per message. That is not zero, but it is small and predictable, and it does not scale with Meta's rate.

Price: Gupshup's self-serve WhatsApp API plan charges $0.001 per message on top of Meta's message fees, which are billed at actuals. Enterprise pricing is on request.

Strengths

  • Meta's fees at actuals
  • Small fixed per-message fee

Limitations

  • Not zero
  • Developer-oriented

5. Respond.io

Best for: Meta's fees by usage via platform credit

Respond.io says WhatsApp fees are not included in any subscription; Meta charges them by usage and you top up WhatsApp credit in the platform. Its subscription starts at $99 a month.

Price: Starter $99, Growth $199 and Advanced $349 a month ($79, $159 and $279 billed yearly), with 5, 10 and 10 users. Enterprise is custom. WhatsApp fees are not included: Meta charges them by usage and you top up WhatsApp credit in the platform. 7-day free trial with no card.

Strengths

  • WhatsApp fees separate from the subscription
  • Omnichannel inbox

Limitations

  • Higher subscription
  • Top-up credit to manage

How a markup hides in a wallet

Wallet tools ask you to prepay credits. Each message deducts the provider's rate, which includes Meta's charge and the markup. You rarely see the two numbers separately, so compare the provider's per-message rate with Meta's rate card for the same category and country.

Where a provider publishes its rate, the maths is simple: divide its rate by Meta's and subtract one. AiSensy's ₹1.09 marketing rate against Meta's ₹0.8631 is about 26% more.

Does no markup always mean cheaper?

Not by itself. Add the subscription to the message bill. A no-markup tool with a high subscription can cost more than a small markup on a cheap plan at low volume. The markup matters more as volume grows: at a few thousand messages a month it is small, at a few hundred thousand it can exceed the subscription.
